PARIS WITH FRENCH RIVIERA 9 DAYS/8 NIGHTS

Over the course of 9 days, you’ll enjoy the beauty of Paris through the French Riviera’s best seaside towns.
ITINERARY :
Day 1: Arrive Paris
On arrival on Paris, either transfer to the Hotel or undertake optional to Versailles Palace. Dinner and Overnight in Paris
Day 2: Paris
In the morning sightseeing of Paris with visit to Eiffel Tower, Seine River Cruise and Louvre Museum. Dinner and overnight in Paris.
Day 3: Paris to Nice by TGV
In time transfer to the Station to board TGV from Paris to Nice. Journey time is just under 6 hours. On arrival check-in at the Hotel followed by 2 hours of walking tour of Nice. Dinner and overnight in Nice.
Day 4: Nice – Menton – Monte Carlo – Eze – Saint –Jean-Cap-Ferrat-Nice ( 70 KMS )
Menton – Just 10 kms from the border of Italy. Old Town with narrow street, pristine beaches, villas in faded pink and yellow colours. Also known for it’s garden, Les Jardins Bioves. Point of interest could also be couple St. Michel Basilica and Russian Orthodox Church.
Monte Carlo – The principality of Monaco. Points of interest are the Palace of Prince Rainier and Princess Grace, the SBM Casino- which has featured in many Hollywood movies.
Eze – A gem of a village tucked away in the French Riviera with it’s cobbled streets and a magnificent view from it’s hilltop over the Mediterranean Sea. ( a bit of climibing is involved ).
Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat – Our last stop before returning to Nice. Nestled in the Cap ( Cape ) Ferrat peninsula, formerly an old fishing village, with it’s beautiful villas is worth a short visit as it is one of the most calmest of the spots on the Cote d’Azur.
Dinner and overnight in Nice.
Day 5: Nice – Cannes – St. Tropez – Toulon ( 190 KMS )
Drive from Nice to Cannes, a resort town on the Frech Riviera, knows for it’s famous Film Festival. Guided tour of Palais des Festivals ( about 90 mins with lot of steps ). Visit the waterfront area and continue the drive to St. Tropez.
Visit the Vieux Port ( Old Port ) which has a charming idyllic scene of small fishing boats and fashionable yachts docked in the harbor, lined by pastel-coloured Mediterranean houses and lively cafes with oudoor terraces. Later stroll through La Ponche – the historic centre of the fishing village and is the most picturesque area of Saint Tropez. Later drive to Toulon. Dinner and overnight in Toulon.
Day 6: Toulon – Winery – Marseilles ( 80 Kms )
In the morning take a cable car ride to Mont Faron. This cable car is only of it’s own kind on the Mediterranean coast. Later visit the old town with it’s narrow streets, small squares and many fountains. It also has the second largest Opera House in France.
Later drive to the French countryside to visit a Winery. In the afternoon drive to Marseilles.
Marseilles is the oldest city in France and the second largest after Paris. On arrival, walk through Marseille city, Vieux Port of Merseille – the old harbor, Le panier – the old town, followed by a visit to the Marseille Cathedral – a Roman Catholic Cathedral and a national monument of France.
Dinner and overnight in Marseilles.
Day 7: Marseilles – Cassis – Calanque National Park – Marseilles ( 70 KMS )
Today drive for a full day excursion to Calanques National Park – listed by UNESCO as a world park heritage side for it’s while cliffs and turquoise water. On the way stop at one of the Provence’s prettiest coastal villages – Cassis. In Calanques National Park, drive along and admire the panoramic view over the bay and Cape Canaille, the highest sea cliff of Europe.
Dinner and overnight in Marseilles.
Day 8: Marseilles – Aix-en-Provence – Valensole- Grasse – Nice ( 280 KMS )
This morning proceed to Aix-en Provence, a little University town in South of France. Walk through the town, visit the Aix Cathedral – a Roman Catholic Church and the seat of the Archbishop of Aix-en-Provence. Stroll through the narrow streets full of history and Corso Mirabeau – the graceful avenue shaded by giant trees and lined with cafes/restaurants.
A stopover at Valensole, knows as the Lavender country, famous for the it’s vibrant lavender fields. ( the ideal time is the late June till August. The lavender fields peak by Mid July ).
Further drive to tor a stopover in Grasse, the Perfume Capital of the World. Visit the Galimard Perfume factory.
Drive on to Nice. Dinner and Overnight in Nice.
Day 9: Depart Nice
In time transfer to the Airport for flight back home.
